EMO SACCO

Emerging Opportunities Savings & Credit Cooperative Sacco (EMO SACCO) was registered in November 2013. Its registration was driven by the desire by a good number of members to form a SACCO that would cater for their unique needs.

The SACCO is designed to target the following categories of people;

1. Members of EMO who are not covered by existing SACCOs or those who would like to have additional avenues for savings and borrowing loans. Some of the target groups include; Farmers, Jua Kali traders, etc
2. Persons working in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) who in themselves have minimal or no capacity to establish independent SACCOs. Examples of such companies include; retail shops, proffesional firms, security companies etc.

The SACCO so far has managed to register over 500 active members as at end of April 2015 and the future is bright.

Going forward, members of Emo who join the SACCO will be able to access all the loan products offered by the SACCO and those who have EMO Shares are able to use their certificates to guarantee their loans.

There are plans to open branches for EMO which will house the SACCO in every county headquarters
